Tamil Nadu’s Polymer Park to Cater to Plastic Manufacturing and Logistics Industries

The upcoming Tamil Nadu Polymer Industries Park, located near Chennai, is poised to become a game-changer for the plastic manufacturing and logistics industries in India. Spread across 257 acres, the park is designed to provide world-class infrastructure and facilities to support industries involved in polymer production, plastic processing, and logistics services.

The park aims to attract investments exceeding ₹3,000 crore, with a focus on developing a sustainable and innovation-driven ecosystem for businesses. Industries operating in the park will benefit from its proximity to ports, highways, and rail networks, enabling seamless transportation and export capabilities. This strategic location is expected to boost the competitiveness of Tamil Nadu’s polymer and plastic manufacturing sector.

“The Polymer Industries Park is a step toward making Tamil Nadu a global hub for advanced plastic manufacturing and logistics,” said an official from the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), which is spearheading the project.

The Tamil Nadu government is actively promoting the park as a cornerstone of its industrial strategy, offering incentives and support to businesses that set up operations. With a growing demand for sustainable and innovative plastic solutions, the Polymer Industries Park is anticipated to play a pivotal role in modernizing the plastics industry while maintaining a focus on environmental responsibility.

Once operational, the park will not only cater to the domestic market but also position Tamil Nadu as a significant player in the global plastics and logistics value chain.
